about

Cyberpunk inspired album -Taking you to those overpopulated , corporate controlled, neon soaked mean streets of the slum megalopolis of the mid 21st Century -

"You live on a razors edge -You just try to hold on to your humanity and stay alive in this wicked city "

"Inspired by Cyberpunk Neon Vandals album "Megalopolis: A Cyberpunk Soundtrack" is shaped like a score to an imaginary film. It takes the listener to the huge overpopulated hi tech, neon soaked cities of the mid 21st century, as they were anticipated by sci-fi writers in the 20th century " - Play Syndicate

2039 -The world is now largely controlled by mega-corporations,

The huge dark canyon like streets are illuminated by neon, mile high vid screens, search drones and an endless barrage of advertising. Governments have been eclipsed as centers of political, economic and even military power, while the population scurry round in the dangerous streets below avoiding both the the law and the lawless that lurk in every alley, and under every graffiti caked underpass - where every razor-edged shadow can quickly end your life.

Cybernetic augmentations are now commonplace. It is a world that is owned by the new gods - a shadowy, powerful super elite that own everything - including the police . It is a world in where compassion is a weakness and love has become a commodity that is usually traded for social status. It is a world in which memories can be downloaded and/or implanted. Then there's the outsiders and outcasts - Data Hackers ,The poor, Chrome Angels, Data Runners, dub warriors, poets, artists, homeless, Netmechs and renegade Experts in microbionics - Together they form a loose association known as the "Underground Resistance" - They mabye - just maybe can make a difference.......
